Why can’t greens practise what they preach?

Why are so many climate campaigners such massive hypocrites?. There are scores of Extinction Rebellion activists who've racked up thousands of air miles. And there are hundreds of eco-aware politicians who take private jets to climate summits. What's going on? Why can't greens ever seem to practise what they preach? It's because an eco-friendly lifestyle is really a life without modern conveniences. It is a life with less travel, less stuff and ultimately less comfort. The environmentalist dream would actually be a nightmare. And perhaps, deep down, the greens already know it.
