Turkey: Arbitrary Arrests, Kidnappings, Torture in Prison

Torture and ill-treatment, as well as a lack of medical care for sick prisoners, are widespread in Turkish jails. Meanwhile, those who advocate for the rights of the victims are arrested. Given the horrifying scale of destruction of human rights of citizens of Turkey, is it not the time for the US government finally to make human rights a priority in its dealings there?
