Trudeau’s Liberals see Toronto attack as excuse to censor the Internet

What did the Toronto van attack this week have to do with the Internet? Nothing. Or to be more accurate: We don't know anything.

We know that a suspect named Alek Minassian was arrested after ramming pedestrians on a north Toronto sidewalk. He killed ten and wounded many more.

Many people thought it was a terrorist attack, since that's the preferred methodology of ISIS these days.

But the suspect in Toronto has a name that sounds Armenian, which suggests he's not Muslim. And from what scraps of information have been gleaned from second-hand sources, he sounds like he was socially awkward, and may have had mental health issues.

We also have this Facebook post, which is allegedly his, but that has not been formally confirmed by anyone official:

Private (Recruit) Minassian Infantry 00010, wishing to speak to Sgt 4chan please. C23249161. The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!

Elliot Rodger was an American who, four years ago, went on a killing spree, and taped a video giving his explanation as having trouble getting attention from women. He had various mental illnesses, enough to be prescribed medication which he refused to take.

"Incel" is Internet slang for someone who is involuntarily celibate, who can't meet and relate to women.

"Chads and Stacys" - that's Internet slang for socially successful men and women.

Melanie Joly, the Heritage Minister, now wants "web giants to fight hate speech from 'incels' after van attack," as ipolitics.ca put it in their headline.

Employment Minister Patty Hajdu tied the attack to the "alt-right."

If I understand the term "alt-right" correctly, it's white nationalism.

Alek Minassian isn't white.

(And what does being mad about not having a relationship have to do with white nationalism?)

Elliot Rodger wasn't white either: His mom was Malaysian; his step mom was Moroccan.

The Liberals want to use this incident as more "proof" that they need to censor their normal, mainstream, mentally healthy political opponents.

That's what's going on here - with the total, unanimous support of the liberal media...
