National Security Crisis

12/30/2019

Over 12,000 Canadians have been killed by opiate overdoes in the last few years. Eighty percent of those have been from fentanyl. The fentanyl comes almost exclusively from China. This is, be definition, a national security issue and a matter of public safety. The new Public Safety Minister, Bill Blair is a former cop and police chief, he worked for both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice and now he is Public Safety Minister. He seems almost perfectly positioned to challenge China to stop these exports. But even though Canadians are dying at a rate of almost 5000 a year, the Trudeau government has shown no will. Is this because the greatest number of the dead are in Western Canada, or is it because Justin Trudeau is an admirer of China even as they kill us?
