Canada's "Freedom Convoy" truckers have won the hearts and minds of millions of Canadians and inspired similar protests around the world. And they've done it under the banner of a powerful, emotionally charged word you rarely hear anymore: freedom.

By taking a stand against vaccine mandates and other pandemic-related restrictions, the truckers have become a strong voice for many Canadians who want to reclaim the freedoms and civil liberties that were taken from us during the pandemic. And that is why for many of us - me included - the Canadian truckers are modern-day freedom fighters.
