CBC crew rescued from icy ditch by Freedom Convoy protester

"A demonstrator named Tyson Garneau (sic) wearing a 'defund the CBC' hat pulled us out knowing we were CBC journalists," said CBC reporter Ashley Burke in a tweet on Wednesday. "He said he'd never leave anyone stuck like that." Burke spoke to Gareau on the scene and reported that he had been sleeping in the back of his truck and had lost his job as a truck driver and had been protesting because he wanted freedom for his grandkids.
