Where is the evidence for the latest restrictions? They don't have it

While Ford eventually took to the podium on Friday afternoon to discuss the matter, the government took the coward's way out by first pushing chief medical officer Dr. David Williams in front of the cameras at an earlier press conference to break the bad news.

That news being that indoor dining at restaurants, all fitness centres, indoor sports and a number of other locations and activities were all shut down. Just the dining portion alone amounts to 60,000 job losses, according to Restaurants Canada.

Did Doug Ford see the evidence to justify that decision? Did he exhaust every single other avenue before giving the thumbs up to these restrictions? Or did he cave? Or was he never serious about this pledge, which was applauded at the time, when he first made it?
