#TommyIsFree after Lord Chief Justice Burnett rules Leeds ‘conviction was illegal’

Tommy Robinson, 35, activist and journalist, is freed on bail after winning his court challenge today. He will have a fresh hearing of the allegation against him for filming people involved in a criminal trial and putting the footage online in a Facebook live stream. The Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett and two other judges in London quashed the finding of contempt made in Leeds in May. Mr. Robinson's lawyer, QC Jeremy Dein, during the appeal hearing, stated the proceedings in Leeds had been "unnecessarily and unjustifiably rushed".
