Most supporters of Earth Day don’t know who founded Earth Day and why

Earth Day used to have a strong "Cut Immigration". "Cap Population" message. All over the world, most environmental organizations, media and governments will celebrate Earth Day, but none seem to know who Earth Day's founder was or the very important reasons he had for establishing Earth Day. In fact, in Canada, most people cheer Canada's immigration-driven increase in population-as if that is something to be proud of!! It doesn't have to be this way.
