Lord Ahmed of Rotherham to face trial on child sex charges

Lord Ahmed of Rotherham appeared for a brief hearing before a judge at Sheffield Crown Court. He is charged with a serious sexual assault and indecent assault against a boy under the age of 11. The 61-year-old is also charged with two counts of attempting to rape a girl who was under the age of 16.

This is the same Lord Ahmed who personally threatened to mobilise 10,000 Muslims to prevent Geert Wilders from screening his film 'Fitna' in 2009 in Parliament.
