For years, Tommy Robinson has worked to save English communities from the destructive effects of Islamization - the rape culture, religious bigotry, violence, intolerance, and suppression of free speech - and for years he has been defamed for it. His interviews and activism show him a passionate defender of British liberty and the rule of law, yet authorities treat him as a menace. Critics have unjustly called him a racist and an Islamophobe despite his good faith outreach to moderates of all racial and religious backgrounds.
On numerous occasions, he has been physically attacked, has received death threats, and has had his family menaced. Slander and verbal abuse follow him everywhere. The police have repeatedly arrested him on the thinnest of pretexts. During his last incarceration, inmates tried to douse him with a combination of boiling water and sugar - in other words an acid attack, known as 'napalm' by fellow prisoners. This will surely happen again.
On Friday, Tommy was arrested, charged, sentenced and imprisoned to thirteen months in jail for publicizing a grooming gang trial. As well, a fascist media blackout has been imposed. It is now possible, and usual, for British law to be used to terrorize patriotic citizens of the country-to shut them up, lock them up, and even to mark them out for death. A once-free country has become a totalitarian state in thrall to Islamic thugs and willing to destroy patriotic citizens in a desperate bid for temporary peace.
Advocates of freedom have been warning about this for many years, and for their pains (it is certainly an unpleasant subject), they have been ridiculed, fined, harshly condemned as "haters," and now-more and more frequently-jailed. They have been told that they are to blame for the threats, violence, and police brutality that they experience.
But what is happening now in Britain must be seen for what it is: the implementation of a Sharia-compliant police state in which the freedoms and security of ordinary Britons have been sacrificed to a hideous ideal of political correctness. Those who cavil or object-and those who remain silent-are all complicit in the destruction of a once-free country. And one would be foolish indeed to think that we are not moving in the same horrifying direction in Canada, thanks to our shamefully Sharia-compliant, speech-restricting, Islamophobia-obsessed Liberal government.
Tommy needs and deserves a good lawyer, someone to defend him against efforts by agents of the state to silence him.
