The great lie around the invocation of the Emergencies Act was totally shattered in testimony before the House of Commons finance committee. Barry MacKillop, deputy director of FINTRAC (Canada's financial monitoring agency) testified under oath that financial support for the Freedom Convoy 2022 organization came from everyday Canadians fed up with COVID restrictions and was not terrorism or money laundering.
