December 21, 1998: Muslim terrorists blow up Pan Am Flight 103 killing 189 Americans, 270 in all

On December 21, 1998, Pan Am Flight 103 was blown up by a terrorist bomb over Lockerbie, Scotland. The bombing killed 270 people, including 189 Americans on board - 35 were Syracuse University students heading home for Christmas. One Libyan Muslim terrorist jailed for the deadly attack - Abdel Baset al-Megrahi - was released from prison early with approval from then U.S. president Barrack Hussein Obama.
